A.&nbs= p;       Overview of Proposed Zoning Change = Route 262/Echo Lake Road Area

=            Mr. McGrail reported the proposed change or amendment was defeated last night by the Concerned Citizens by a 4-3 vote. Zoning will stand as is.

B.&nbs= p;        Website Subcommittee

=            Mr. McGrail stated they have 2 Juniors from Watertown High scho= ol who are volunteering to help us create an Economic Development website, Ant= hony Salerno and Michael Lopes. He= also met with Doug Burdette, the Town's Data Processing Coordinator. The next step would be to create a subcommittee to give the 2 students direction. Norm Marcoux volunteered to serve = on this subcommittee. Mr. McGrail reported Ms. Pawlak has previously told him she would serve on the subcommi= ttee as well as himself.

7.&nb= sp;        Old and Unfinished Business

  &= nbsp;         A.        Website Update

  &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;         Mr. McGrail reported Mr. DiPietro is absent, but he met with Mr. O'Neill today = at the Watertown (inaudible), and he is the new President of the Chamber of Commerce for Watertown/Oakville. Mr. O'Nei= ll is very enthusiastic about economic development. He has to be our eyes and ears for businesses in Town. They have= a few candidates for a liaison to this Commission from the Chamber as well. Mr. Traver stated he would attend = the Chamber meetings on behalf of this Commission.

        &= nbsp;   B.         = Local Business Update

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. DiPietro was absent; therefore there was no report.

        &= nbsp;   C.        Power Plant Overview

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. Traver reported on a meeting he attended with GDI Renewable Power. Also in attendance were Mr. Nardel= li, Ms. Pawlak, Mr. Pawlak, Mr. Minnich, Mr. Walton, Mr. Williams. A lengthy discussion ensued.

        &= nbsp;   D.        Economic Development Coordinator Update

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. Nardelli reported we've received 8 applications and the deadline is tomorrow for applications. They should= then review the applications; Mr. McGrail will contact Mr. Nardelli regarding wh= en that will take place.

        &= nbsp;   E.         = Business Park Signage

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. Nardelli reported the Public Works Director, Roy Cavanaugh, has been in con= tact with the State, John Bado, and we will have 10 signs on Route 262 and Route 6. There will be a legend that says <= st1:place w:st=3D"on">Watertown Business Park. The signs will be 10 inches by 60 inches, with white letters and a green background, D.O.T. The cost is about $1,500 and we ha= ve $2,000 in that fund. It will = take about 2 weeks to receive them and then the Highway Department will install them. The "leaving the business park" sign will be on Park Road. Hopefully by our next meeting those signs will be installed.

        &= nbsp;   F.         = Local Project Update

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. McGrail reported Griffin<= /st1:PlaceName> School now has plyw= ood up on the windows. The building = is for sale so we'll see what the future holds.&n= bsp; A brief discussion ensued.

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. Nardelli reported the owner of the old State Dairy and the corner of Straits Turnpike and Bunker Hill is J.T. Realty company, a division of Stop & Shop, and he spoke to Fenard & Compan= y, a real estate management company, and right now those properties are not for sale. State Dairy will send s= omeone in to clean up the property. A brief discussion ensued.

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. Nardelli reported they still need to do something with the STEAP Grant that= the Town received too.

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. Velezis reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission approved The Baill= ie Company's request.

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   The water and sewer lines were near Swift were also discussed as well as the Echo Lake Road sewer lines.

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Unidentified Man gave a report regarding what property he had available for sale as well= .

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. Traver gave a brief report regarding Stately Stairs.

        &= nbsp;   G.        Upcoming Guest at Meeting

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. McGrail reported Steve Sasala and Tom O'Neill will attend the October meeti= ng. He also asked Mr. Minnich of someone from Planning and Zoning can attend the September or October meeting to give a brief synopsis of the regulations, zones, etc. A brief discussion ensued.

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Various properties were discussed as well.

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   Mr. McGrail reported Waterbury is planning on hiring a Retention Specialist. A brief discussion ensued.
